Managing Social Media in 30 minutes a day or less

I hear it all the time. “I know that Social Media is the thing of the future, but it takes too much time. If I could do it in 30 minutes a day or less I would.” I am not here to tell you how much time you should spend on Social Media, but I will say that if you want to spend no more than 30 minutes a day than start with that. See what it does for you and whether it is enough or whether you (or someone you hire) want to spend more time on it.

It is more important that you get started than how much time you spend. You need to learn how it works and what it can do for you. That is when you will decide if it is worth it for you to expand.

First you need to realize what you want to get out of Social Media. Are you looking for leads or relationships or simply more traffic? Or maybe a combination of some or all. It all depends on where you are with your business today. If you have a ton of leads, but your conversions are poor, you probably are looking for relationship building. If you have a great product, but nobody is finding you, you probably want to start by focusing on traffic or leads.

Once you have made that decision, you can decide where you want to start. If it is leads, you want to start differently than when you want to build relationships or generate more traffic.

In the next couple of articles I will discuss how you can get started in 30 minutes per day or less. Each of the three articles will cover what you need to do with your 30 daily minutes to get more leads, build more relationships and/or get more traffic.

One Way Links

Social bookmarking is the link building tool of today. None of the other ways to build links bring in the same amount of traffic to your website or blog that social bookmarking does.
