In several posts in the past I have written to you about a tribe that I am a member of. The name is TSA, which stands for Tribe Syndication Association. As a member of this tribe I syndicate content of other members and in return they syndicate my content. It is a great concept. This tribe is special, because everything is based on the honor system. Where do you find that any longer these days?
But that is not the reason I am writing to you. I have been a part of this group since the beginning, early March. The group is steadily growing, which is no surprise since it is free and the benefits are huge. The process has been fascinating. In the beginning we all commented on each others blogs and re-tweeted some tweets. The top syndicators accumulated several hundred syndications each week.
Next thing that happened is we started educating each other. Videos were made, discussions took place. The number of syndications per person per week went up significantly. To be the top syndicator for the week these days you need to provide at least 1500 syndications to other members within the tribe. The record is already in the 2000s. Now the interesting thing is that the majority of syndications is taking place through Onlywire, a semi-automated social bookmarking software.
Thanks to Onlywire (and now also ping.fm) everybody is receiving a lot of bookmarks on a weekly basis. This switch in focus from comments to social bookmarks took place towards the end of April. Go ahead and see the impact this had on the traffic to my blog.
As you can see the number of unique visitors to my website grew by about 300 per month since the start of TSA. But when we all started using the social bookmarking sites, the number of unique visitors all of a sudden increased by 1200 in the month of May and June is looking just as strong! Just so you know the TSA has about 100 members at this point, so this increase cannot possibly all have come from members.
Clearly, social bookmarking has a very beneficial impact on the amount of traffic to your site. The fact that others are bookmarking my site, and I do not have to do this myself helps even more. All bookmarks are natural and come in over time.
If you have a little time to give to others, I highly recommend that you check out TSA. It is the easiest, most fun, way to gain a constantly growing traffic stream to your site. I have not even touched on the friendships that you will build with this group of like minded people.
You should start by going to the TSA Facebook group, and watch all the training videos. Than you sign up on the spreadsheet (link is provided on the Facebook page) and you are ready to go. This is something anybody can do. There is no cost involved, just some of your time. I am looking forward to see you within the tribe!

That's amazing. And only sonce March?. I see how TSA is growing too. It's changed how I think now. This has been the best way to make new friends and boost others blogs, etc… I just love it. Wonderful to know you
Hello Karin
I hope I didn't post twice. I agree with you about TSA it's a great place to learn and share.
Thanks for all you do.
Have a Great Day
Chester
Fantastic share Karin! All I can say is Wow!, literally seeing how tools like OnlyWire has benefited is incredible. I appreciate your posts as I learn something new with every one!
Christine
Hey Christine, yes it is amazing isn't it. I agree. I did not expect results this good either. I hope that showing them will inspire others to take social bookmarking seriously.
Hey Chester, no you did not post twice. Besides I don't mind reading your post twice!
Yup Lesly, only since March. It has been a fun ride so far and I am convinced that it will only get better.
Karin,
We are so happy to see the great increase in traffic to your blog. Your massive efforts to syndicate others is partial explanation but yes, being part of syndication group will really increase the traffic to your site and that is exactly what we were expecting when Dave created the Tribe Syndication Association. We want everyone in the group to enjoy the same results that you are experiencing.
We sincerely appreciate your very kind comments on what your participation in TSA has done for you. Those large increases in traffic will definitely continue as you regularly earn TSA's #1 Syndicator honor! We also are so grateful for the leadership position you have taken in TSA!
To your Continued Success!
Dave and Dawn
Hey Karin,
This is absolutely amazing results. What an amazing thing we have with the TSA.
Glad to be on this journey with you.
Make it a great day!
God Bless,
-ed
Hey Ed, yes the numbers say it all. Go TSA!
Thanks Dawn. Nice to see you here. I am ecstatic about my increase in traffic. I certainly hope that all active members will experience a similar traffic increase. That is the whole reason why I am posting these numbers.
What I think is most awesome about this: The testament to the value of living by the get by giving philosophy.
Spend your time bookmarking yourself and you get x results.
Spend the same time bookmarking others and you get 2x results!
Folks – you do the math.
Hey Karin, thanks for your valuable contribution to TSA. I am learning a lot from you, and you are so right about an honor system being rare. I have been involved in several groups and they have always expected a monetary return for value. Although I have only been in TSA a few short weeks and as a mother to three young kids, I am not able to participate as much as the leaders, I have loved getting to know you and reading your incredible content.
Glad to see that TSA is being so successful for you Karen! I am looking forward to continue to learn from you.
I owe a huge debt of gratitude to TSA and the people of TSA who are the nicest bunch of folks you would ever want to meet. Before I started with TSA, I had 2 comments on my blog, and one of them was mine…now I am seeing more and more traffic and ranking a lot better in Alexa. Thank You Karin for the tremendous contribution you make to our industry!!

Great post Karin. Being involved with TSA has taught me so much about the benefits of giving. Although I have watched your easy to follow videos, it takes me quite awhile to actually implement the technical pieces – slowly but surely i will get there. This TSA group is just a web of support and I love all the comments I receive and all the comments I am responsively writing – and all the education too.
Hey Erica, thanks for visiting. I know, it is hard to put all the information in to action. The good thing about blog posts and videos is that you can always go back and re-read. As far as TSA goes, how can anyone not be pleased to be a part of this remarkable group.
Hi Clint. Thanks for your kind words. I agree with your assessment of TSA, as you know. I share your gratitude. We could not have asked for a better group of people. Glad you joined.
Hi Kevin, I am convinced that we can all have these type of results. As long as we put the effort in. Because whatever you put in, comes back to you big time!
Thanks Clare for your kind words. We all put in the effort we can afford. Slowly, but surely, we will all reap the benefits. You may not be able to put in as many hours as you would like, but your efforts have already been very noticeable. Thanks for participating. I am looking forward to getting to know you better and to enjoy this journey with you and all of TSA.
Hey Paul, it is a true no-brainer. Don't you think. That is why I posted my numbers for all to see. So that everybody can see with their own eyes that the results within TSA are extremely valuable.
Great post!
I love social bookmarking sites. Stumbleupon is my favourite.

You have given some GREAT reasons and benefits for Social Networking through TSA. It has been a cool thing!
