We have all heard it at one point or another, we all need a mentor. Someone who can help us get us to the next level. I have looked for a mentor for a long time. I tested different people, but could never find what I was looking for. I have been looking for someone who understands social media and how to apply this to small businesses. This person also needed to be able to transfer the knowledge to me in such a way that I could understand how to apply it to my existing business. This last part has been a real problem. Most of the people that I found to be knowledgeable in the social media landscape, would tell me to completely start over and forget not only what I already knew (which I was fine with), but also to abandon my websites and start over. This was not acceptable to me. There should be more than one way to run a business. I decided that if I could not apply their knowledge to my existing business, their approach was not what I was looking for.
