If you are an online marketer I am sure you have heard of Google Analytics. It is a great tool to learn more about the traffic to your website and the effectiveness of your sales funnel. But there is always more we can learn about the behavior of those who visit our sites. There is one site in particular that can help you in your search for more data related to the effectiveness of your online efforts. That site is Facebook. With close to 1 billion users they have a huge database of information. I used to think that you could only get data for your fan pages and your apps, but I realize now that that was a naive point of view.

When you click the green button, you will see the following window pop up:

Now you get the option to add your domain and link it to any account or pages that you want to aE" insert your domain and link it (I normally would add it to my own personal account if it was my blog). If you are running a Facebook Page you can add that to the aEoelink withaEť so that data is more accessible.
Copy the meta property line and paste it in the header area (between <head> and </head>). Make sure you empty your cache if you are using caching and click ‘Get Insights’. Just so you know, when I did this Facebook hang and I had to refresh the page. But the connection had been made. When you have done the above you should see a page like this:

You can now begin to collect and review data. Facebook collects information regarding like and send buttons and it also tracks comments and visitor demographics.
To your success,
