When I am totally honest, I have to admit that I have a hard time with the Twitter layout. Even though I have grown to like the short messages, I find it very frustrating not to know what the link at the end of a tweet is all about. And I admit, that the new Twitter layout is much better. You can click on the link to see the full URL, but still. Facebook does a much better job of that, by showing a picture and the title and brief description for the link in the message. It is so much easier to scan for good content that way.
For the longest time, I have said to myself “I wish I had that same information that Facebook provides, on Twitter”. Somebody must have overheard my prayers, because that option is now available. Take a look. It takes this twitter feed:

and turns it into a much more readable stream, that looks like this:

Doesn’t this remind you of the Facebook layout, with a title and short description of the link. The good news is that you can now add a Twitter stream like this to your blog if you want.
